To register to vote in Virginia, one must meet the following criteria: - Must be a citizen of the United States. - Must live in the state of Virginia. - Must be 18 years old by the date of the next general election. - Must not have been convicted of a felony or judged by a court to be mentally incompetent, unless the right to vote has been restored by the Governor or a court order has re-established competence. - Must not claim the right to vote elsewhere.Voter Registration

Individuals can apply for voter registration or update their voter registration data at any Registrar’s Office in Virginia, Department of Motor Vehicles, Public Libraries or by mail.
