Poquoson Municipal Pool  Located at 16 Municipal Drive is a Seasonal Pool

The Poquoson Pool is closed for the season as of Labor Day.

The Pool is a 6 lane 200,000 gallon pool located at 16 Municipal Drive in Poquoson Municipal Park.

Both Season Passes and Daily Admission are available for purchase during Open Swim Times.

The Poquoson Municipal Pool hosts a large youth swimming lessons program each summer as well as it is home to the Poquoson Barracudas Swim Team.

SWIMMING LESSONS: 

Each Summer Season a variety of American Red Swimming Lessons are offered. Registration opens Mid-April for the Summer Season.

 Poquoson Pool offers swimming lessons using the American Red Cross Curriculum Levels 1-5 and preschool introduction courses. Registration for summer swimming lessons is in person at the Parks and Recreation Building. Sessions run-in two-week increments.  More information 757-868-3580.

Poquoson Barracuda Summer Swim Team

The Poquoson Barracuda Swim Team is a program of our Parks and Recreation Department. Registration for the Swim Team begins each spring in Mid-April. There is an annual spring meeting held to assist with registration and season information. The Date for the 2026 meeting has not yet been put on our spring calendar. Swimmers wishing to join the Barracuda Swim Team should be ages 3-18 but must have a minimum swimming requirement of completing a full 25 meters in a defined freestyle stroke across the pool.  Each swimmer is evaluated prior to joining the team. The Season for the Barracudas Runs from Memorial Day through Early August.  The Team swims in the Red Division of the GPSA swim league here on the Virginia Peninsula.
